MMU Patent Workshop Empowers Researchers in Melaka and Cyberjaya

MMU, through its Technology Transfer Office (TTO), successfully organised a Patent Workshop to equip researchers with essential knowledge on patent filing and protection. The workshop took place at two locations, FIST SMART Lab, Melaka, on 18 March 2025, and FOE IDEAS Lab, Cyberjaya, on 20 March 2025, to ensure accessibility for researchers across both campuses.

The sessions were conducted by Mr. Mohd Khairulamin Sulaiman from Pro IP Sdn Bhd, who provided in-depth guidance on the patent filing process, addressing common challenges, and understanding key factors that patent agents consider. Participants gained valuable insights into how patents can safeguard their innovations and the crucial role of patent agents in facilitating a smooth application process.

Through this initiative, TTO aims to increase patent submissions among MMU researchers, ensuring that pioneering ideas receive the protection and recognition they deserve. Let’s continue this momentum and transform more innovations into patented success stories!
