MMU warmly welcomed its freshies during Welcoming Day at both the Cyberjaya and Melaka campuses on 15 March 2025. The new students arrived on campus for registration, marking the beginning of their exciting academic journey. They then prepared for the Week of Immersion & Networking (WIN), held from 16 to 20 March 2025, designed to help them transition smoothly into university life.
The WIN programme was officially launched at the Melaka campus by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, who delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking address. Students from the Cyberjaya campus participated virtually, ensuring that all new students, regardless of location, could benefit from the session.
In his speech, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham emphasised the Permata Dunia GEMS attributes, reinforcing the core values that MMU instills in its students to shape well-rounded and future-ready graduates. He also shared compelling success stories of MMU’s alumni, demonstrating how the university has nurtured talents who have gone on to achieve remarkable accomplishments in various industries worldwide. Furthermore, his motivational talk encouraged students to embrace their academic journey with enthusiasm, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose.
The event was also attended by faculty deans and university leaders, who extended their warmest welcome to the new students. Their presence highlighted MMU’s unwavering commitment to providing a holistic and enriching educational experience. The WIN featured interactive sessions, networking opportunities, and insightful talks, all aimed at fostering a sense of community and belonging among the new students.
The closing ceremony, held at the Cyberjaya campus on 20 March 2025, marked the grand conclusion of the WIN programme. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud graced the occasion, delivering an inspiring closing address that celebrated the students’ enthusiasm and active participation throughout the week. The ceremony was filled with moments of appreciation and recognition. It is hoped that all new students will carry forward the knowledge, friendships, and experiences gained during WIN, embracing their academic journey with confidence, curiosity, and a strong sense of belonging within the MMU community.
