On 6 February 2025, the Research Management hosted the Research Appreciation & Award Ceremony for the second half of 2024 at the Multipurpose Hall, Cyberjaya campus. The prestigious event was officiated by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, who underscored the significance of research in advancing the university’s academic standing.
Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohammad Faizal Ahmad Fauzi, Director of Research Management, delivered an inspiring address, emphasising the pivotal role of research in enhancing MMU’s rankings and reinforcing its global reputation. The ceremony’s highlight was the presentation of awards to distinguished researchers. Three professors from the Faculty of Engineering & Technology (FET) and Faculty of Business (FOB) were honoured for their inclusion in the 2024 World’s Top 2% Scientists List by Stanford University. In addition, authors who contributed to top-tier SCOPUS journals were recognised for their exceptional contributions to the fields of Science & Technology and Social Science.
A special tribute was paid to Ir. Prof. Dr. Zulfadzli, the Vice President of Market Exploration, Engagement, and Touchpoint (VP MEET) for his visionary leadership in the Research Management Centre (RMC) from 2013 to 2024, acknowledging his instrumental role in shaping MMU’s research landscape. The ceremony also featured an appreciation segment for MMU Press’s editorial team and the presentation of the Innovation Award, recognising the successful intellectual property filings by MMU researchers. The event concluded with a celebratory photo session, marking the collective achievements of MMU’s vibrant research community.
