The Faculty of Business hosted the “Business Innovation Exhibition” held at the I-Trade Lab on 16 January 2025. This exhibition, organised through the Global Operations Management (BIG 6333) subject, showcased the innovative prowess of MMU students while aligning with the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
This year’s theme, “Reimagining Business Innovation: Digital Transformation in the Post-Pandemic Era,” highlighted the crucial role that digital solutions play in addressing the complex challenges businesses face in today’s rapidly evolving global landscape. The exhibition served as a platform to explore how businesses can harness digital transformation to enhance resilience, efficiency, and sustainability in a post-pandemic world.
Under the expert guidance of Dr. Tan Pei Kian, a total of eight student teams presented groundbreaking solutions specifically designed to tackle issues faced by businesses during and after the pandemic. These solutions emphasised critical aspects of modern global operations management, including cost efficiency, operational effectiveness, and long-term sustainability. Each team’s innovative approach reflected their deep understanding of the principles that govern the evolving business environment and their ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical, impactful solutions.
The exhibition also showcased MMU’s dedication to enhancing students’ skills in project leadership, teamwork, and strategic problem-solving. Participants had the opportunity to translate their academic knowledge into real-world applications, empowering them to become the leaders of tomorrow.
A distinguished panel of judges, including Dr. Susan Chin Tee Suan, Dr. Yeow Jian Ai, Dr. Jayanty A/P Kuppusamy, and Dr. Nor Hasliza Binti Mat Hasan -lecturers from the BBA (Hons) International Business program — evaluated the teams’ presentations based on their creativity, relevance, and execution. The judges provided valuable feedback and recognized the outstanding contributions made by the participants.
Heartfelt congratulations to Group 3 (AgriSense) and Group 8 (ECOHUB), who were awarded the title of Best Teams for their exemplary solutions that addressed real-world challenges with ingenuity and practicality. Ngim Da Ruey and Ho Zhan Ming were also recognised as the Best Presenters, commended for their exceptional articulation, delivery, and presentation skills that captivated both the judges and audience.
This event highlights the dedication, creativity, and forward-thinking mindset of MMU students. It reflects the university’s commitment to developing future-ready entrepreneurs and leaders who can drive change and innovation.
Well done!
