The Salam Festival, a three-day celebration of faith, knowledge, and community, concluded in a heartfelt MMU Berselawat at Dewan Tun Canselor on 22 January 2025. Organised by Institusi Usrah with support from the Student Lifestyle and Experience (STyLE) department, the event offered a vibrant array of activities, including Book Vibes, a Palestine Talk, Tarannum and Hafazan competitions, and more, fostering engagement and inspiration among participants.
The highlight of the festival was the MMU Berselawat session, graced by esteemed guests Al-Habib Ali Zaenal Abidin Abu Bakar Al Hamid, Al-Fadhil Al-Ustaz Iqbal Zain Al-Jauhari, and Al-Fadhil Al-Ustaz Dr. Izham Hakimi Al-Maghribi. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, addressed the audience with a heartfelt welcome, expressing hope that the festival would not only inspire the cultivation of noble values in daily life but also deepen awareness of social and spiritual matters, enriching the lives of all who attended.
As the festival concluded, it left a lasting impact on the hearts of participants, encouraging the adoption of the values and teachings shared throughout the event. It is hoped that these lessons will continue to grow and positively shape the lives of the MMU community, fostering a spirit of unity, compassion, and mindfulness.
