On 11 January 2025, a group of talented Diploma in Creative Multimedia and Creative Audio students from the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) embarked on a meaningful Personal Social Responsibility (PSR) initiative. Unleashing their creativity, the students designed and painted vibrant cat motif murals on benches and pots at Taman Kucing Cyberjaya. The student group led by Farliyana Anuar and Chong Han Ying and their team members namely Amirul Haziq, Gan Yee Ling, Goh Xin Yi, Jasveinna a/p Thilagarajan, Liew Kar Yan, Loo Jia Qi, Na Qiao Hui, Nellie Arman Ang, Tan Sim Wen, Tay Wen Xuan, Timothy Tan Jenn Wern, and Wei Xuan Yew.
Guided by Prof. Ts. Dr. Koo Ah Choo from FCM, the project’s vision was brought to life under the coordination of Dr. Yong Chyn Chye from the Learning Institute for Empowerment (LiFE). The programme was made even more impactful thanks to the generous sponsorship of paints by Dr. Nursuliana Sulaiman, a lecturer from FCM.
Additionally, the event’s success was made possible through the collaboration with Jabatan Landskap Majlis Perbandaran Sepang, who supported the project by providing the opportunity for the students to showcase their artwork in a public space. This PSR service project not only allowed the students to express their artistic skills but also fostered a sense of community and social responsibility, making a lasting positive impact on the local environment.
