On 24 January 2025, the Learning Institute for Empowerment (LIfE) hosted an ESG talk featuring Puan Nurasyikin Rosni, General Manager of Sustainability at Telekom Malaysia (TM). Held at Dewan Tun Canselor, her speech, titled “The Digital Revolution and the Environment: A Symbiotic Relationship,” explored how digital transformation can drive sustainability through innovations like smart technologies, green energy solutions, and eco-friendly practices.

The event was graced by Prof. Dato’ Mazliham Muhd Su’ud, President of MMU, Dr. Ong Sue Lyn, Director of LIfE and 2,049 students from various faculties, reflecting a growing interest in environmental issues. Puan Nurasyikin emphasised the importance of balancing technological progress with environmental stewardship to create a sustainable future.

The talk concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where students actively discussed the challenges and opportunities of merging digital advancements with sustainability. The event inspired attendees to reflect on how their future roles can contribute to the global ESG agenda.
