The 8th National-Level ICT Competition for Tamil School Students concluded with a closing and prize-giving ceremony at the Multipurpose Hall, Cyberjaya campus, on 4 January 2024. The event was graced and officiated by YB Gobind Singh Deo, the Minister of Digital, alongside several distinguished guests, including Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, and Prof. Mahendhiran Nair, Pro-Chancellor of Sunway University, among others.

Organised by Pertubuhan Titian Digital Malaysia (PDTM) in collaboration with the Hindu Youth Organisation Port Klang and TamilTech.my, with the support of the Ministry of Digital  and the Tamil School Headmasters Association of Malaysia, the competition saw a remarkable turnout of 240 students from across the nation. These talented participants showcased their expertise in five categories: ICT Quiz, 2D Animation, Website Designing, Scratch Programming, and Graphic Drawing.

The ceremony was also attended by Prof. Ir. Dr. Zulfadzli Yusoff, Vice President of Market Exploration, Engagement & Touchpoint (MEET); Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Junaidi Abdullah, Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Informatics; and faculty members, who were all impressed by the students’ impressive skills and creativity. Congratulations to all the winners, who have demonstrated exceptional talent and innovation in the world of ICT!
