Career Connect and the Banking & Finance Department of Faculty of Business (FOB) joined hands to organise the CIMB Take Over Campus on 20 November 2024. The event saw the participation of over 60 students who were eager to explore the myriad opportunities that CIMB has to offer.

The event kicked off with a warm welcome from the organisers, followed by a comprehensive talk with various graduate opportunities available at CIMB. This session was particularly beneficial for those looking to kickstart their careers in the banking and finance sector, offering a clear pathway to potential employment with one of the leading banks in the region.

A significant portion of the event was dedicated to introducing the EPICC culture (Enabling Talent, Passion, Integrity & Accountability, Collaboration & Customer Centricity) at CIMB. This programme is designed to foster a dynamic and inclusive work environment, emphasising the bank’s commitment to nurturing talent and promoting a culture of excellence. Students were given a detailed overview of the APICC culture, which focuses on innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

To make the event even more engaging, CIMB organised a series of strategic games aimed at unleashing the potential of the students. These games were not only fun but also educational, providing participants with hands-on experience of the strategic thinking and problem-solving skills required in the banking industry. The interactive nature of these activities helped students to better understand the practical applications of their academic knowledge in real-world scenarios. Overall, the CIMB Take Over Campus event was a fantastic opportunity for students to gain exposure to the banking industry, network with professionals, and explore potential career paths.
