Prof. Mardeni Roslee, Chairperson of the Centre for Wireless Technology at the Faculty of Engineering (FOE), was invited as the Guest of Honor and appointed General Chair at the prestigious 46th World Conference on Applied Science, Engineering, and Technology (WCASET24). The international conference was held recently at Corus Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, drawing participants from across the globe.
In his opening address to an audience representing more than 11 countries, Prof. Mardeni shared groundbreaking insights into the “emerging 6G mobile phone generation”, showcasing MMU’s leadership in wireless technology research. The conference, themed “Synergizing Science, Education, and Technology for Global Progress,” was organised by IFERP, one of the world’s largest non-profit professional associations dedicated to research development and promotion in engineering and technology.
The event received 150 paper submissions from countries such as the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Greece, Ukraine, Germany, and Denmark, reflecting its international appeal. Among the distinguished attendees was Dr.Chhajer, Managing Director of Technoarete Groups, alongside esteemed keynote speaker Dr. Sufian Mousa Ibrahim Mitani from TMRND, who shared his expertise with delegates.
The conference united a diverse range of participants, including industry experts, service providers, government agencies, academicians, and international organisations, creating a platform for insightful discussions on advancements in applied science, engineering, and technology.
Also representing MMU were members of the conference committee: Mr. Khairil Anuar, Dr. Noorlindawaty Md Jizat, Ms. Nazihah Ahmad, Dr. Chung Gwo Chin, and Dr. Chinnaiyan Senthilpari. Their efforts contributed to the conference’s success in promoting cutting-edge research and fostering global collaborations. The WCASET24 has significantly enhanced research in applied science, engineering, and technology, exposing scientists and researchers to the latest developments and advancements. This conference exemplifies the university’s commitment to global research excellence, positioning the university as a key player in fostering innovation and collaboration on a global scale.
