On 19 December 2024, undergraduate students from Entrepreneurship class, under the guidance of Dr. Mohd Fairuz Abd Rahim from the Faculty of Management (FOM), visited the headquarters of JustGood, a smart agriculture company in Batu Caves, Selangor.

JustGood Grocer and JustGood Farms are part of the JustGood Group’s extensive end-to-end network of verticals that focus on the production and supply of agricultural products, including pesticide-free, fresh vegetables from their IoT-based hydroponic smart farms, as well as selected traceable and certified farm produce from their partner farms nationwide. JustGood’s core activities also involve designing and integrating modern agricultural techniques for their farm modalities, along with fostering purposeful engagements, collaborations, and partnerships with various stakeholders across the food production chain.

During the visit, the students were introduced to the processes involved in plant factories and indoor farming, the production of JustGood Artisan products, and participated in a guided tour of the company headquarters. The highlight of the visit was the opportunity for students to direct and capture a cooking session with chefs from JustGood. The students showcased their creativity in taking dynamic shots to be featured in their social media campaign, aimed at promoting the use of JustGood’s products and ingredients in preparing Malaysia’s beloved national dish, Nasi Goreng.

This activity was part of their industry-based assignment titled “MMU x JustGood Nasi Goreng Challenge.” The visit provided a valuable opportunity for students to gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience, enriching their understanding of smart agricultural operations and innovative marketing strategies.
