FCA Short Film “Mudivurai” Wins Judges’ Honourable Mention at BMW Shorties 2024

Congratulations to our students from the Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA) for winning the Judges’ Honourable Mention at the BMW Shorties Project on 8 December 2024. Mudivurai, a remarkable short film by first-year students under Claire De Lune Productions, tells the heartwarming story of 55-year-old Nagaiyah, who is about to retire and seeks his son’s help with his farewell speech — only to uncover the emotional distance between them.

The BMW Shorties, BMW Group Malaysia’s dynamic cultural initiative, provides a platform for budding filmmakers to showcase their creativity. Since its inception in 2006, this initiative has featured over 600 extraordinary short films, many of which have captivated audiences at prestigious festivals like Cannes and New York.
