The Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA) had the distinct privilege of hosting a dynamic Meet & Greet session on 29 November 2024, in conjunction with the 33rd Malaysian Film Festival (FFM33). The event, a collaboration with the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS), featured a special screening of the film PADU, followed by an engaging session with the invited actors and actresses who present during the session.
This unique event provided an invaluable opportunity for MMU students and staff to connect with figures in the Malaysian film industry. Attendees had the chance to meet and interact with renowned actors Amir Nafis, Lia Natalia, Kodi Rasheed, and Yusuf Bahrin, who shared insights into their craft and experiences in the industry.
As an added highlight, ten lucky MMU students were awarded exclusive tickets to attend the highly anticipated opening night of FFF33 on 7 December 2024, where they will witness the celebration of Malaysia’s finest cinematic achievements. This collaboration marks an exciting chapter in fostering closer ties between the academic and creative sectors, offering MMU students a unique platform to engage with industry professionals and gain deeper insights into the world of filmmaking.
