Prof. Dr. Mardeni Roslee, an academic staff from the Faculty of Engineering (FOE) and Chairperson of the Centre for Wireless Technology at Multimedia University (MMU), was invited as the Guest of Honour at the IEEE Electrical, Communication, and Computer Engineering Conference. The event was held at the Concorde Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, in October 2024.

As the General Chair of the conference, Prof. Mardeni delivered an inspiring welcoming address to an audience representing over ten countries. In addition to his ceremonial role, he shared valuable research insights, further enriching the conference discussions. The event was organised by the University of Buner, Pakistan, with Technology FIST serving as the Allied Organizer/Technical and Financial Collaborator. It was co-sponsored by the IEEE Signal Processing Society Malaysia Chapter.

Notable guests included Prof. Dr. Hezerul Abdul Karim, Chair of the IEEE Signal Processing Society Malaysia Chapter, Dr. Sufian Mousa Ibrahim Mitani from TMRND as a keynote speaker, and Prof. Dr. Saif Ul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buner, Pakistan, as a Guest of Honour. The conference spotlighted advancements in computer, communication, and electrical engineering, with applications spanning all fields of science and technology.

A total of 120 research papers were submitted from countries such as the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Greece, Ukraine, Germany, and Denmark, among others. The conference served as a platform for global researchers to present cutting-edge findings and foster international collaboration.

The MMU delegation included the Conference Committee members Khairil Anuar, Dr. Teh Chin Hui, Dr. Noorlindawaty Md Jizat, and Nazihah Ahmad. Their active participation further highlighted MMU’s commitment to advancing applied science, engineering, and technology. This conference not only added significant value to ongoing research efforts but also solidified MMU’s reputation as a globally recognised hub for academic excellence. With such collaborative efforts, MMU continues to expand its influence on the international stage, paving the way for future research and innovation.
