Mohamad Syafiq bin Jamaludin, a student from the Faculty of Business (FOB) showcased his leadership skills as the deputy leader at the Rakan Nadma Disaster Emergency Simulation Exercise (RANDEX) 2024, held from 27 to 30 October 2024. Organised by the Prime Minister’s Department, RANDEX 2024 is a comprehensive training program aimed at bolstering disaster response and management effectiveness across the ASEAN region. This year’s simulation emphasized Malaysia’s preparedness and capability to provide humanitarian aid during regional crises.
The event brought together representatives from over 20 NGOs, higher education institutions, and government agencies, fostering collaboration and coordination essential for efficient disaster response. Joining Syafiq was Mr. Mohd Khairre Abd Rahman from Student Lifestyle & Experience (STyLE) department, underscoring MMU’s commitment to supporting national disaster preparedness initiatives through active participation and knowledge sharing.
