On 12 November 2024, the Faculty of Business (FOB) received a visit from a delegation from the Shipping and Aviation College (SAC) based in Tampin. The delegation, comprising board members and academics, was warmly welcomed by Dr. Afandi Yusof, Deputy Dean of Student Experience and Alumni at FOB, along with representatives Ms. Siti Zarifah Amir, Ms. Iylia Syafiqah, and Ms. Faezah Othman.
The visit commenced with a comprehensive briefing highlighting FOB’s strategic integration of ICT within its academic programs. This showcase of MMU’s innovative approach to digital education set the tone for fruitful discussions between both institutions. The dialogue centered on exploring potential collaborations, particularly in areas such as staff exchange, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and the joint development of online classes. SAC expressed a keen interest in adopting FOB’s effective management of hybrid learning environments, aiming to enhance its own digital learning initiatives.
In addition to the discussions, the SAC delegation had the opportunity to tour several key facilities at MMU Melaka, including SHDL, Rimbun Ilmu, CLC, and Starbees. This tour offered an immersive experience of MMU’s vibrant academic environment, further inspiring collaborative possibilities.
This visit marks a significant milestone in establishing a strong foundation for ongoing partnership and academic exchange between FOB and SAC. It also underscores a promising foundation for robust collaboration between FOB and SAC, fostering academic exchange and shared growth in the fields of shipping and aviation education.
