On 4 November 2024, the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) celebrated the talent of MMU students at the E-Bee Short Film Contest prize-giving ceremony, held at AGMO Space, Cyberjaya campus. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, who commended the participants’ creativity and innovation.
The contest invited students to produce a unique short film or animation around the theme ‘Multidimensional’, challenging them to create a 30-second to 5-minute film in any chosen style—be it live-action, animation, motion comics, or a mixed-media approach.
As a result, the Effects N Presets team emerged as the champion, with WEML Production securing first runner-up and HIHANG HOHENG taking second runner-up. The winning teams were awarded cash prizes of RM3,000, RM1,500, and RM500, respectively, in recognition of their outstanding work.
This year’s edition of the E-Bee Short Film Contest showcased the exceptional talent and diverse creative expressions within MMU, affirming the university’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of multimedia and filmmaking professionals. The winning video also will be showcased during the upcoming convocation in December 2024. Also present were Ms. Nadia Mahmud, Dean of FCM, Mdm. Nur Azurah Rezo, Academic Registrar, Mdm. Natalya Rudina Shamsuar, and other MMU officials.
