Three films by the Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA) have been selected for the 5th Footprint Film Festival 2024, which will take place from 16-17 November 2024 in New Delhi, India. The selected films—“Tokbak” by Aliyana Rezana, “Artificial Snow” by Tan Yujia, and “Igauan” by Faris Naim—are heartfelt creations produced as part of our first-year module.
“Tokbak” by Aliyana Rezana is a touching tribute to the bond between a granddaughter and her grandfather, capturing the cherished memories and special places they once shared. “Artificial Snow” by Tan Yujia tells the story of a young woman in her twenties who navigates the emotional aftermath of a breakup as she learns to move forward with her life. Meanwhile, “Igauan” by Faris Naim reflects on the night a childhood friend passed away, serving as a poignant letter about the painful yet necessary journey of letting go.
The Footprint Film Festival is dedicated to empowering and celebrating the voices of young filmmakers. It serves as a platform for teens and young adults to share their unique stories and perspectives, encouraging dynamic storytelling while nurturing the growth of the next generation of cinematic talent.
This special festival is more than just a series of screenings; it offers emerging filmmakers the chance to connect, collaborate, and deepen their understanding of the craft through meaningful exchanges and co-productions.
Well done!
