The Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) hosted a two-day training, under the Entrepreneur Development Program (EDP) as part of the eCadet initiative the at the INNOLab, Cyberjaya campus on 13th – 14th Nov. The program offered participants valuable insights and practical skills to navigate the entrepreneurial landscape successfully.
Expert-led sessions were a highlight of the event, featuring speakers from Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM), Growth Charger, and the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO). Mr. Amirul Ihsan Sharif from SSM delivered an enlightening session on “Incorporating a Company,” providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of business structures and the incorporation process.
Mr. Iskandar Shafi’i, representing Growth Charger, conducted an interactive workshop on market validation, equipping the young entrepreneurs with tools and strategies to refine their market approaches and enhance their business viability. Meanwhile, MyIPO’s session on intellectual property, led by Mr. Mohamad Rahimi, educated participants on safeguarding their innovations. Notably, some attendees began the process of applying for copyrights on-site, ensuring immediate practical application of their learning.
This programme exemplifies the university’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurial talent and innovation. With many more impactful initiatives in the pipeline, MMU continues to empower its students to shape the future of business and industry.
