Let us extend our heartiest congratulations to Dr. Nurul Nadia Nordin from the Faculty of Management (FOM) and her partner, Dr. Ruzanna Abdul Razak from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), for their remarkable achievement in securing the silver medal at the prestigious IUCEL X KNOVASI 2024 competition. The event took place on 5 September 2024 at the Bangi Avenue Convention Centre.

Their award-winning innovation, titled “Teaching Basic Calculus Through Game-Based Learning,” has redefined the traditional learning approach by incorporating elements of gamification into the classroom. Drawing inspiration from the timeless game of Tic-Tac-Toe, the duo has crafted an interactive board game aimed at making the learning of calculus both engaging and impactful. Their innovation transforms a traditionally challenging subject into a hands-on, enjoyable experience for students, enhancing both understanding and retention.

This impressive accomplishment represents a significant leap in education innovation, demonstrating how game-based learning can revolutionize the way complex subjects are taught. By combining fun with education, their work has the potential to reshape learning environments and inspire more dynamic approaches to teaching.

Congratulations!
