A group of MESRA Club members went on a two-day fishing trip to Sitiawan, Perak, from 14 to 15 September 2024. The purpose of the trip was to scout potential locations for a future club-wide fishing event.

The main goal was to assess the location’s infrastructure, logistics, bait options, and other important factors needed for a successful fishing trip. This trial run aimed to ensure that future trips would be well-organized and enjoyable for everyone.

During the trip, members were thrilled to catch several spotted butterfish. Although they faced challenges like mosquitoes and unexpected rain, the group remained positive and made the most of the experience. The insights gained from this trip will help the MESRA Club plan even better fishing events in the future.
