On 7 September 2024, the Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI) hosted a workshop titled “Unlocking the Future: ICP Workshop for Innovative Minds,” featuring Dr. Liew Voon Kiong, Corporate Technical Advisor at Datasonic Group Berhad, and Mr. Francis Hor, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Whizzl Sdn Bhd. The event, attended by 40 students, aimed to provide a deep dive into blockchain technology and its future impact, offering participants valuable insights from industry leaders.
The workshop equipped students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to navigate the rapidly evolving blockchain landscape. Through interactive discussions and hands-on exercises, the students gained a better understanding of blockchain applications using Internet Computer Protocol (ICP). The speakers highlighted real-world examples of blockchain’s potential across industries, such as finance, cybersecurity, and supply chain management, while addressing the immense opportunities awaiting those proficient in this technology.
