On 7th September 2024, the MMU Indonesia Alumni Chapter Hang-out brought a lively group of alumni together at the Faculty of Creative Multimedia’s (FCM) SpaceBar in Cyberjaya. The event was a wonderful opportunity for former students to reconnect, share stories, and rediscover the sense of belonging that comes with being part of the MMU family. Organised by the Indonesia Alumni Chapter with support from the Centre for Alumni, it was an evening filled with nostalgia, laughter, and meaningful connections.
The hang-out began with a warm and welcoming introduction by the Centre for Alumni. Alumni were reminded of the many benefits available to them as MMU graduates, from career development resources to lifelong learning opportunities—reaffirming that MMU’s support doesn’t end with graduation.
One of the highlights of the evening was the introduction of the current Persatuan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI) MMU committee. This gave alumni the chance to meet the enthusiastic students who are continuing to build the Indonesian community at MMU. The exchange of ideas, experiences, and future plans helped foster a strong sense of collaboration between past and present students.
Alumni from different years and fields of study mingled effortlessly, rekindling old friendships and creating new ones. The joy of reconnecting and the excitement of hearing about each other’s journeys filled the room, making it a truly special gathering.
The Indonesia Alumni Chapter Hang-out was more than just an event—it was a celebration of the lasting bonds shared by the MMU alumni community. We look forward to many more events like this in the future, where the connections made at MMU continue to thrive and grow.
