“A Mother’s Time Capsule” by Cheryl Lisa garnered the prestigious Festival Director’s Award, while “The Manggis in Ah Gong’s Hand” by Yawz Pictures took home the Creative Excellence Award along with Best Actor (Male). Adding to the celebration, “Ngompat” by Ruang Layar made a clean sweep across multiple categories, winning Best Actor (Female), Best Supporting Actor (Female), Best Supporting Actor (Male), Best Script, Best Director, Best Overall Production, and the coveted Audience Choice Award.
Short+Sweet is a renowned international arts festival, originating in Sydney, Australia, that now spans across the globe with editions in Malaysia, Dubai, the USA, and India. The festival brings together diverse talents in theatre, dance, musical theatre, stand-up comedy, song, and film. We couldn’t be prouder of the incredible creativity and hard work our filmmakers have displayed. Their dedication continues to elevate FCA’s reputation and serves as an inspiration to all.
Well done!
