On 10 September 2024, the Career Connect team, led by Deputy Director Mr. Albert Quek, visited Xinyi Glass Malaysia’s facility to explore potential collaboration for internship and job placement opportunities in Melaka. The team was warmly welcomed by Datuk Sin Ket Hin, Manager Director of Xinyi Glass Malaysia and Mr. Oo Boon King, Human Research Assistant Manager, who provided an overview of the company’s cutting-edge innovations in producing high-quality float glass, automobile glass, and energy-saving architectural glass, with a global presence in over 140 countries.
The visit aimed to establish initial ties between MMU and Xinyi Glass Malaysia, with the hope of fostering future collaborations that could offer MMU students industry exposure and career development opportunities. Career Connect is optimistic that this partnership will provide valuable internships and job placements, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in a leading global glass manufacturing company.
