‘Sekretariat Sekolah@MMU,’ in partnership with the Student Lifestyle & Experience (STyLE) and the Besut District Education Office, successfully organised the 50th edition of the Sekolah@MMU programme from 25 to 27 July 2024 in Besut, Terengganu. Over the course of three days, with the participation of 480 students from 20 secondary schools in Besut and 94 MMU students serving as programme facilitators, they embarked on an enriching journey to boost digital literacy and empower students.
Sekolah@MMU aims to highlight the importance of information technology and entrepreneurship among high school students in Malaysia. It also seeks to nurture techno-entrepreneurial talents equipped with critical and creative thinking skills. Students engaged in an IT Class, where they were exposed to Canva, a platform for creating professional-looking presentations, posters, and graphics to enhance their creativity and communication skills.
The closing ceremony was officiated by Tn. Hj. Shafruddin bin Haji Ali Hussin, Deputy Director General of Education Malaysia, Professionalism Development Sector, Ministry of Education Malaysia, alongside Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU. Tokens of appreciation were also presented to the programme’s sponsors, acknowledging their invaluable support. Among the sponsors were Yayasan Universiti Multimedia, Yayasan Perkasa Siswa, Manis FM, MARA Liner, Cyberview, Hipstrike, Caerus, and Bayubali.
It is hoped that the participating students gained valuable knowledge and wonderful memories from this programme, further fostering a culture of innovation and digital literacy.
