The 8th edition of the Master Class on Converged Telecommunications Policy and Regulations (CTPR) took place from 12 to 16 August 2024 in Indonesia, marking a significant collaboration between Multimedia University (MMU), the Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC), and the GSM Association (GSMA).
This annual event, aimed at regulators, telecommunications executives, and policymakers across the ASEAN and Asia-Pacific regions, continues to be a pivotal platform in ensuring participants remain at the forefront of the rapidly evolving telecommunications industry. This year’s Master Class saw additional support from esteemed Indonesian partners, XL Axiata and Telkom University of Indonesia, further strengthening the program’s regional impact.
The opening ceremony was graced by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU; Tan Sri Mohamad Salim bin Fateh Din, Chairman of MCMC; and Julian Gorman, Head of Asia Pacific, GSMA. The Master Class provided an exclusive platform for industry professionals to share insights, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and gain valuable experience in navigating the complexities of today’s telecommunications landscape.
This year’s edition focuses on five key modules namely Policy & Regulations, Spectrum Management, Emerging Technologies and Network Security, Disruptive Digital Business and Economics, and Environment, Society and Governance. These modules were expertly facilitated by a blend of local and international industry leaders, alongside subject matter experts from MMU, MCMC, and GSMA, ensuring a comprehensive and insightful learning experience for all participants.
