FOB Leads USR Initiative to Enhance Community Center for National Month Celebration

A University Social Responsibility (USR) initiative, in celebration of the national month, was carried out by a group of diploma and degree students from the Faculty of Business (FOB) on 17 August 2024. Under the guidance of Ms. Siti Zarifah Amir, an FOB lecturer, the students engaged in a gotong-royong activity to improve the Pusat Komuniti Desa (PKD) Paya Ikan in Melaka.

The students worked together to clean the outdoor areas surrounding the community center, including trimming trees and sweeping fallen leaves to keep the area in excellent condition. They also adorned the center with Malaysian and state flags, infusing a festive spirit into the community. This initiative not only enhanced the community’s environment but also promoted a strong sense of unity and patriotism among both students and the local community.
