Let us extend our heartiest congratulations to David Chew Hong Liang, a final-year Bachelor of Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) student from the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST), who has been selected as one of the top 8 winners in the Huawei Seeds for the Future Programme 2024.

David submitted a research proposal titled “Why Is It Necessary to Constantly Evolve Cybersecurity Strategies to Address New and Emerging Threats in the Digital Landscape,” as well as a captivating 3-minute video showcasing his ideas on how AI can contribute to environmental sustainability and climate change initiatives. His outstanding work earned him a fully sponsored trip to Shenzhen, China, from September 22 to 27, 2024.

Seeds for the Future is Huawei’s flagship CSR programme that brings together young talents from across the globe to engage in short-term training, international competitions, and continuous alumni activities focused on digital technology. The programme offers participants a unique opportunity to learn about industry innovations, engage in cross-cultural interactions, and develop an entrepreneurial mindset.
