The Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI) , in collaboration with Huawei Malaysia, hosted the “Huawei Day: Shaping the Intelligent World 2030” event on 20 August 2024. The event took place at CNMX1004 and brought together lecturers and approximately 200 students for an insightful discussion on the future of technology and career opportunities in the evolving digital landscape.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ng Kok Why, the Deputy Dean of FCI, kicked off the session with his welcoming speech. The session featured prominent speakers from Huawei Malaysia, including Mr. Choh Yau Meng, the Human Resource Director; Ms. Putri Nadia, the Account Director; and Ms. Delea Tan, the Talent Ecosystem Manager. The session was moderated by Mr. Enoch Tan Jeng Sen, the President of the IT Society at MMU.
Throughout the event, the speakers shared valuable insights on the latest technological trends, career development in the ICT industry, and the role of Huawei in shaping the future of intelligent technology by 2030. The event provided a platform for students to gain a deeper understanding of the industry and explore potential career paths with one of the world’s leading technology companies. The event was also assisted by the other FCI lecturers namely Dr. Nicole Lee Fong Yee, Mr. Neoh Hoo Thye and others.
