On 7 August 2024, a delegation from the Akademi Laut Malaysia (ALAM), led by its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Eddie Adrianto Ahmad Khodzali, paid a benchmarking visit to Multimedia University (MMU). The delegation was warmly received by MMU’s President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, who provided an insightful briefing on the university’s history, achievements, and ongoing developments.
The visit served as a platform for both institutions to exchange perspectives on higher education, with a particular focus on identifying potential avenues for future collaboration. The discussions underscored the shared commitment to academic excellence and innovation, paving the way for deeper ties between MMU and ALAM.
During their visit, the ALAM delegation toured MMU’s cutting-edge campus facilities, including the Faculty of Engineering (FOE), the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM), and the Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA). These tours provided ALAM representatives with a firsthand look at MMU’s state-of-the-art resources and vibrant academic environment.
Among those present were Mr. Zambri Pawanchik, Vice President of Strategic Marketing, Admission, and Recruitment (SMART); Dr. Ooi Che Pun, Dean of FOE; Ts. Shahfeeq Jibin, Dean of FCA; Prof. Dr. Wong Chee On, Director of LEARN; and Mdm. Sri Kusuma Wati Md. Daud, Director of Student Lifestyle & Experience (STyLE), along with other officers.
This visit marked a significant step forward in fostering a collaborative relationship between MMU and ALAM, reflecting both institutions’ dedication to continuous improvement and excellence in education.
