On 10 July 2024, the Faculty of Business (FOB) welcomed delegates from Vellore Institute of Technology, India. This visit, facilitated by the Audacious Dreams Foundation and Majlis Gabungan Belia Melaka (MGBM), commenced with a warm reception from Dr. Siti Zakiah Melatu Samsi, the Dean of FOB, accompanied by her deputy deans.
During the visit, the delegates received a comprehensive briefing on the undergraduate programmes and engaged in an in-depth discussion about the postgraduate programs, which garnered significant interest from the visiting students.
Key topics of discussion included potential joint publications, articulation agreements, and collaborative research initiatives between FOB and VIT representatives. Following the briefing, the delegates visited the I-TRD lab to observe FOB’s trading exercises using the CGS i-Trade platform, providing them with foundational knowledge of the stock exchange.
The delegates were given the opportunity to tour several key areas of MMU Malacca campus, including Siti Hasmah Digital Learning (SHDL), Learning Point, Rimbun Ilmu, and CLC concourse. The delegation also continued their exploration by discovering various interesting places in the historical city of Malacca.
