Multimedia University (MMU) has taken a significant stride towards enhancing its global footprint through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Pride of Science Educational Company (PSEC) at its Cyberjaya campus on July 2, 2024. Signing the agreement were Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU and Dr. Mohammad Aldossari, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PSEC. The collaboration between MMU and PSEC began in 2023 when representatives from PSEC visited MMU to explore potential collaborations, including the establishment of an MMU branch in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The initiative to establish an MMU campus in Saudi Arabia marks a significant milestone in both institutions’ commitment to educational excellence and global cooperation.
This MoU underscores MMU’s dedication to international engagement, highlighting ongoing collaborations between academia and industry crucial for advancing research, knowledge dissemination, and fostering a highly skilled workforce. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Sultan Al Harbi, Chief Officer of Education Programs at PSEC, Prof. Ir. Dr. Wong Hin Yong, Vice President of Academic and Innovative Learning, Prof. Ir. Dr. Hairul Azhar Abdul Rashid, Vice President of Market Exploration, Engagement & Touchpoint, Ms. Nor Adni Ismail, Vice President of Finance and Business Ventures and Mr. Zambri Pawanchik, Vice President of Strategic Marketing, Admission & Recruitment, Prof. Dr. Goh Guan Gan, Director of Strategy and Quality Assurance and other officials. This partnership is poised to strengthen MMU’s global presence and contribute significantly to its strategic objectives in education and research.
