Congratulations to our MMU athletes for their outstanding performance at the ASEAN University Games (AUG) 2024 in Surabaya, Indonesia! Our students from the Faculty of Law (FOL) brought home several medals, contributing significantly to the Malaysia contingent’s success.
In chess, Chua Jia Tien clinched third place in the Women’s Team categories for Blitz, Rapid, and Standard formats. Meanwhile, Eshwant Singh secured second place in the same categories for the Men’s Team. Their strategic prowess and determination were truly commendable.
In swimming, Christy Teh Xing Ti excelled by securing third place in the Women’s 200m Individual Medley and the Women’s 4×100 Medley Relay. Her dedication and skill in the pool were evident as she competed against top athletes from across the region.
The AUG is a prestigious biennial sports event that brings together athletes from universities across ASEAN member countries, fostering sportsmanship and regional camaraderie.
