A virtual dialogue session between Multimedia University (MMU) and prominent alumni from the Middle East took place on 29 June 2024. The event featured three panellists including Prof. Dr. Goh Guan Gan, Director of Strategy and Quality Assurance (SQA), and two distinguished alumni, Mr. Salem Kaadan from the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM), Class of 2015, and Ahmed Al Anesi from the Faculty of Information Science & Technology (FIST), Class of 2008.
The discussion centered around the theme “MMU is You: Now and Then.” Key topics included MMU’s strategic direction and future goals, current university rankings, and specific initiatives and strategies aimed at enhancing MMU’s standing in global rankings. The invited speakers also shared their career journeys, providing insights into their professional paths and achievements.
The session was attended by Prof. Dr. Wong Eng Kiong, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development (VP SEED), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ong Jeen Wei, Director of Alumni Engagement, Career, and Entrepreneurship Development. Organised by the Centre for Alumni (CfA) and the Alumni Middle East Chapter, this dialogue fosters a strong sense of community between alumni and their alma mater.
