Prof. Dr. Mohamad Yusoff bin Alias from the Faculty of Engineering (FOE) and Mr. Erwin Abd. Jabbar from the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) were invited as guest lecturers for Global Learning Week (GLOW) 2024 at Telkom University, Bandung. The event took place from July 8 to July 19, 2024. Prof. Yusoff presented a course on Radio Engineering, while Mr. Erwin led a course on Design Thinking and Methodology. Both courses were co-taught with lecturers from Telkom University.
GLOW is a two-week, credit-earning short course designed to provide students with insights into recent technological innovations and their societal impacts, technopreneurship, and multidisciplinary projects. The programme also aimed to enhance the international academic atmosphere at Telkom University, promote research collaboration, facilitate knowledge transfer between lecturers and students, and increase academic awareness of societal, national, and scientific developments.
During GLOW 2024, guest lecturers conducted sessions for 6 to 12 hours (2 to 4 sessions) in the first week (July 8 – 12, 2024), based on discussions with Telkom University co-lecturers. Beyond teaching, the guest lecturers had the chance to explore potential research collaborations and other activities with Telkom University. The event also featured guest lecturers from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), i-CATS University College, and Hanbat National University, Korea.
