A workshop on Mental Health for standard 6 students of Sekolah Kebangsaan Paya Rumput Melaka was held on 12 July 2024. The workshop was led by Dr. Kavitha A/P Raman, an academic staff member from the Faculty of Business (FOB), alongside eight BBA students majoring in Human Resource Management (HRM), who served as facilitators for the programme.

Organised by the school’s Counselling Unit, the event commenced with a welcoming speech by Pn. Rozahiran Hamzah, the Headmistress of SKPR. The four-hour workshop saw the participation of 38 students and several teachers. They were introduced to the importance of mental health and practical strategies for maintaining a positive and healthy mindset.

The students actively participated in a variety of engaging activities, including games, group discussions, and presentations, all designed to foster a deeper understanding of mental health. With the support of the facilitators, these activities provided an interactive and enjoyable learning experience.

This workshop significantly elevated the students’ awareness of mental health issues and equipped them with the knowledge to sustain positive thoughts and attitudes.
