A group of students from the Faculty of Engineering (FOE) Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) My5G Portal on 20 June 2024. Accompanying by Prof. Dr. Mohamad Yusoff Alias, the students delved into the heart of 5G innovations, exploring DNB’s deployment of industrial-grade antennas and gaining in-depth insights into the strategic deployment of 5G sites across the nation.
The visit provided an invaluable opportunity for students to witness firsthand the practical applications of 5G technology, including demonstrations of holographic video conferencing, smart city integrations, automated retail solutions, real-time 360° video surveillance, and AI-driven work safety measures.
Special recognition was extended to Ms. Erica, Ms. Normala, and other esteemed DNB officers for their generous hospitality and informative presentations, which enriched the students’ understanding of Malaysia’s pioneering efforts in 5G technology.
This visit not only broadened the students’ knowledge base but also underscored the commitment of the university to nurturing strong industry ties that enhance learning experiences and equip students with essential skills for thriving careers in the dynamic field of telecommunications and digital innovation.
