The 22nd National Intervarsity Accounting Quiz, or N-IVAQ, reached its successful conclusion on 1 June 2024 at the Melaka campus. Organised by the MMU Accounting Club, with professional guidance from the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and strategic partnership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), this annual event garnered significant attention. Professor Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, graced the opening ceremony and emphasised the competition’s role in promoting accounting standards in Malaysia and enhancing students’ knowledge and skills in the accounting field.
Forty-six teams from various universities competed in the qualifying round, with the top 10 advancing to the Final Round. The championship title was claimed by the team from Sunway University, securing a cash prize of RM 1299, certificates, and a mentoring session with Future Lab. Taylor’s University team secured the first runner-up position, while MMU Melaka campus clinched the second runner-up position. These winning teams were awarded cash prizes of RM 899 and RM 599, along with certificates and mentoring sessions with Future Lab.
