A dedicated group of students from the Faculty of Business (FOB) recently organised a successful donation drive to support the Persatuan Jagaan OKU Bukit Baru Melaka. Their goal was to raise funds for essential products such as sugar, flour, dishwashing liquid, and stand fans. Through the collective efforts of these students and the generous contributions from family, friends, and lecturers, they managed to raise an impressive RM1100.
To boost their fundraising efforts, the students set up a booth in CLC for two days, selling crochet dolls, drinks, and ice popsicles. The total funds collected were fully utilised to purchase necessary supplies aimed at improving the living conditions of the residents at Persatuan Jagaan OKU Bukit Baru Melaka.
The organizing committee, comprised of Fan Wen Xuan, Jennie Ong Ling Ni, Lai Jia En, Tee Yu Qi, and Liong Shu Yun, expressed their happiness with the success of the donation drive and gratitude for the overwhelming support they received. They shared that this experience not only allowed them to apply their event management skills but also enabled them to make a positive impact on the community.
Looking ahead, the students hope to continue organising similar events, further strengthening their connection with the community and making a difference in the lives of those in need. The donation drive underscores their dedication to social causes and their ability to mobilise resources for the greater good.
