In conjunction with the Eid-ul-Adha celebration, Multimedia University (MMU) organised Qurban programmes through Masjid Al-Irsyad in Melaka and Surau Al-Hidayah in Cyberjaya. In Melaka, the mosque oversaw the sacrifice of five cows, with the slaughtering, skinning, and meat cutting conducted at A Unique Agro Farm in Gadek.
The meat was distributed to 118 eligible recipients, including asnaf, MMU staff, and support workers. This event also saw the participation of 35 students from the Usrah Institution (UI). The following day, a feast was held at Dataran Permata, attended by both staff and students, celebrating the successful distribution.
Meanwhile, in Cyberjaya, Surau Al-Hidayah hosted the “Majlis Qurban and Akikah” on the same day. Volunteers diligently cut the meat, which was then distributed to eligible recipients. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, also attended the event. Both programmes aimed to alleviate the burden on needy families and asnaf groups while fostering a spirit of harmony and mutual assistance within the community.
