The four-day International Cultural Expo & Festival MMU (iEXPO) 2024 concluded triumphantly at MMU’s Cyberjaya campus on 23 June 2024. Lead by a 3-man team, consisting of Mr. Austin Herman (Programme Director), Mr. Sahand Ehteshami (Assistant Programme Director), Mr. Khalid Faiaz (Programme Advisor), and a team full of international and local students. The diversity reflected in the committee was showcased in the event itself with the various cultures and traditions on display.
The closing ceremony was honored by the presence of Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, alongside distinguished representatives from various Embassies and High Commissions. These included High Excellency (H.E.) Mr. Walid Abu Ali, Ambassador of the State of Palestine; H.E. Mr. Md. Shameem Ahsan, High Commissioner of The People’s Republic of Bangladesh; H.E. Dr. Adel Mohammed Ali BA Hamid, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen; H.E. Mr. Abdulhafid Bounour, and Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
Under the theme ‘Unity in Diversity: Celebrating The World’s Colours’, the event showcased a rich tapestry of cultures and traditions through engaging activities such as country booths, traditional performances, cultural workshops, movie screenings, and more. Organised by the International Student Society (ISS) with the support of Student Lifestyle & Experience (STyLE), iEXPO 2024 significantly strengthened bonds within the university community, fostering mutual learning between international and local students.
