The Entrepreneurship Development Center (EDC), in collaboration with the Ventures Hives (PVS) student club, hosted a dynamic and enlightening dialogue session titled “Venture Visionaries: Dialogues on Entrepreneurship” on 14 June 2024. The session featured Ms. Elain Lockman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder of Ata Plus Sdn. Bhd., who is also a valued eCadet partner. Ms. Elaine shared invaluable perspectives and insights on critical topics for aspiring entrepreneurs, including equity fundraising, business funding stages, eligibility criteria, prerequisites, and the support landscape for entrepreneurs in Malaysia.
During the session, Ms. Elaine also highlighted how Ata Plus could serve as a crucial resource for MMU student startups, offering practical guidance and advice to both physical and online attendees. This forum-style discussion aimed to fill gaps in the local startup ecosystem by providing students with a comprehensive understanding of fundraising strategies. The interactive nature of the session facilitated meaningful exchanges, enriching the collective knowledge and impact within the university community. Moving forward, it is anticipated that similar collaborative programs involving eCadet partners will continue to inspire and empower future entrepreneurs at MMU.
