Two students from the Faculty of Management (FOM), namely Ong Yong Xun and Nur Akma Nazihah, were selected by Hitachi Malaysia to represent Malaysia, along with two other students from different universities, in the Hitachi Young Leaders Initiative (HYLI) 2024.
Organised by Hitachi, the program will be held in Bali, Indonesia, from July 23rd to 26th, 2024. This highly competitive program aims to discover and nurture 32 potential Asian student leaders from eight diverse countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Japan). The selection process was rigorous, with Ong Yong Xun and Nur Akma Nazihah standing out among numerous applicants due to their exceptional achievements and leadership potential.
During the initiative, participants will engage in discussions on regional and global issues with government officials, business leaders, academics, and NGO representatives, fostering a deeper understanding and collaboration among future leaders of Asia.
