The Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) welcomed 11 esteemed management members from West Yangon Technological University (WYTU) on 23 May 2024. This visit served as a valuable opportunity for delegates to expand their networks and exchange innovative research ideas between the two institutions.

The primary focus of the visit was to explore the potential for establishing joint degree engineering programs and mobility activities. Detailed discussions and deliberations were held on mapping course structures, aiming to align and enhance the academic collaboration. The visitors were also given a comprehensive tour of the engineering labs and other state-of-the-art facilities on campus.

The WYTU delegation was also treated to a Melaka City Tour, where they immersed themselves in the rich history of Malaysia’s historical city. They visited significant landmarks such as the A-Famosa, St. Paul’s Hill, and the Red Square, gaining deeper insights into Melaka’s cultural heritage. They also enjoyed a two-day excursion in Kuala Lumpur, where they explored iconic sites including the Petronas Twin Towers and the bustling Bukit Bintang shopping district.

Additionally, the delegation had the opportunity to visit the Faculty of Engineering (FOE) in Cyberjaya for a half-day tour, further enriching their understanding of MMU’s academic environment and collaborative potential. This visit not only strengthened the bonds between WYTU and FET but also laid the groundwork for future academic partnerships and cultural exchanges.
