The Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) and the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST) collaboratively organised a dynamic tea-talk session in partnership with Infineon Technologies, tailored specifically for the eager minds of MMU students. This engaging event welcomed directors and illustrious FET alumni namely Ms. Ooi Mei Ling, Mr. Ronald Dass Steven, Mr. Lim Sze Haw and Ms. Tay Wendy from Infineon, who graciously shared their wealth of experiences under the illuminating theme, ‘A Day in the Life of an Automation Project’. Enthusiastic participants, including students immersed in the subject of Project Management from both FET and FIST, absorbed the insights offered during the programme.

Since the fruitful partnership’s inception in 2009, Infineon has been an excellent supporter of MMU, actively participating in university events orchestrated by various faculties and extending invaluable opportunities to students through career and internship programmes. Their enduring commitment to nurturing talent and fostering collaboration has enriched the university’s academic landscape. In light of this transformative wave, the Infineon team championed awareness, sharing invaluable perspectives on navigating this new frontier of technology with confidence.

The resounding impact of the session resonated deeply with students, who recognised its immense value in preparing them for the challenges that lie ahead upon their entry into society. Armed with newfound awareness, they stand poised to confront and overcome obstacles on their journey toward professional fulfilment. With great anticipation, MMU eagerly anticipates further collaboration with Infineon Technologies, envisioning a future brimming with boundless opportunities and mutual benefits for the vibrant MMU community.
