A group of Foundation in Business students embarked on a philanthropic endeavor with a visit to “Pusat Jagaan Kasih Sayang Angel” on 28 May 2024. Upon arrival, they received a warm welcome from Madam Angel, the center’s caretaker, who provided insights into its operations. The orphanage provides care for 45 children, many of whom come from single-parent households.
During their visit, students participated in interactive sessions and engaging activities with the children. The genuine joy and enthusiasm displayed by the children underscored the positive impact of these interactions. Through games and conversations, students established meaningful connections with the young residents, fostering camaraderie and empathy.
This initiative served as an extension of their business project for the Fundamentals of Business Management course. By engaging in practical activities, such as sales endeavors, the students gained hands-on experience in managing a mini business. Additionally, a portion of the profits generated was allocated for charitable donations.
In conclusion, the philanthropic efforts of the Foundation in Business students epitomize the integration of academic learning with social responsibility. By combining business education with community outreach, students not only acquire practical skills but also cultivate compassion and empathy. This report stands as a testament to the transformative power of education in shaping responsible global citizens committed to effecting positive change within their communities.
