The Communication Society, in collaboration with MMU Career Connect, recently hosted a comprehensive three-phase Career Workshop. This collaborative event aimed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their career journeys.
The workshop began with a resume submission phase, where students submitted their resumes for review. The top 20 resumes were then selected for mock interviews conducted by seasoned recruitment experts Hana Halena and Clement Wong. This activity provided students with valuable experience and feedback to enhance their interview skills.
The final phase was an engaging and informative workshop held on 11 May 2024 at the MMU Cinema. Participants gained crucial insights into resume building, LinkedIn profile optimization, and interview strategies, equipping them with essential tools for career success. The highlight of the workshop was an inspiring industrial talk by Mr. Azham, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Applied Communication (FAC), who shared his personal journey and experiences navigating the corporate world.
The event was also attended by Mr. Albert Quek, Deputy Director of Alumni Engagement, Career, and Entrepreneurship Development (ACED), showcasing MMU’s support and commitment to empowering students and fostering their career development. Overall, this career workshop provided an excellent platform for students to network with industry professionals and learn from their experiences.
Well done!
