Multimedia University (MMU) welcomed a distinguished delegation from Media Prima, led by its Chairman, Datuk Syed Hussain Syed Aljunid, during a courtesy visit to the Cyberjaya campus on 29 March 2024. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU together with Prof. Ir. Dr. Wong Hin Yong, Vice President of Academic and Innovative Learning (VP AIR), Prof. Ir. Dr. Hairul Azhar Abdul Rashid, Vice President of Market Exploration, Engagement & Touchpoint (MEET) as well as faculty deans and representatives also participated in the visit.
The visit facilitated a fruitful discussion on potential collaborations between MMU and Media Prima across various domains including broadcasting, animation, video production and others. Moreover, the ‘CEO@Faculty’ programme, which anticipated engagements with Datuk Seri Syed Hussain, will help to broaden students’ horizons through industry leaders’ invaluable experience and knowledge sharing. The delegation also visited the faculties and learning facilities on campus including MMU Cinema, Sound Stage, eGallery and others.
By leveraging each other’s expertise, MMU and Media Prima aim to foster innovation and talent development within the media landscape. This collaboration not only benefits students but also lays the foundation for impactful industry-academic partnerships that drive growth and excellence in the media sector.
