The Faculty of Management (FOM) welcomed distinguished guests to its Cyberjaya campus on 27 March 2024. En. Ahmad Nasri Abdul Wahab, Executive Director of KPMG Management & Risk Consulting Sdn. Bhd., and Dr. Raemah Abdullah Hashim, Associate Professor at UNITAR International University, were warmly received.
En Ahmad Nasri serves as the appointed Industry Advisory Panel (IAP), while Dr. Rahimah fulfils the role of External Examiner for the MBA programme. Their visit aimed to meticulously review the programme curriculum, teaching methodologies, and overall effectiveness.
Associate Professor Dr. Tan Booi Chen, Deputy Dean of Research & Industry Collaboration (RIC), along with Programme Coordinators from various Postgraduate Programmes, extended a gracious welcome to the esteemed guests. The visit commenced with a welcoming address by Dr. Tan Booi Chen, followed by a comprehensive programme briefing session led by the MBA programme coordinator.
During the engagement, En Ahmad Nasri shared invaluable insights on ‘The Significance of Adopting a Customer- Centric Approach in Designing Digital Strategies and Experiences.’ This session provided students with a firsthand opportunity to glean insights from his wealth of practical experience. An interactive exchange ensued, enabling students to gain a deeper understanding of industry trends and best practices.
En. Ahmad Nasri underscored the imperative of bridging the academia – industry gap, emphasising the need for students to acquire practical skills aligned with contemporary industry demands. His address resonated strongly with the students, who eagerly absorbed the shared wisdom.
Furthermore, both the IAP and EE meticulously assessed various aspects of the MBA programme, ensuring alignment with industry standards, and conducting a thorough curriculum review. The feedback garnered will serve as invaluable guidance for FOM in enhancing its academic offerings.
